Armagh Observatory in the 1950s
This movie was made by Bill Mackle and shows a visit by members of the Irish Astronomical Society to
the Armagh Observatory during the 1950s.
The movie includes the following;
- Dr Eric Lindsay meeting the visitors in front of the Observatory
- Visitors gaining access to the anemometer on the roof via a trapdoor and steps
- The 10 inch Grubb refractor
- The Robinson Dome
- Climbing the tower to view the sunshine recorder
